Geology field books [manuscript], 1896-1898.

The collection contains two field books, 1896-97, containing notes on land around the route of the Lehigh Valley Railroad and in the Finger Lakes region of New York; a field book, 1898, containing notes on rock decay, particularly the weakening of Virginia's diabase; and a field book, 1898, containing notes on the granites of Georgia, and including descriptions of quarries. With these is a cypher book, 1819, kept by his grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Watson.
